Rihanna is taking a break from being a party girl on her new single, "Diamonds," the first release from her forthcoming seventh studio album.

HEAR RIHANNA'S SONG "DIAMONDS"

The song produced by Stargate, who helmed her hits "Rude Boy," "What's My Name," and "Only Girl (In The World)," is a triumphant mid-tempo ballad celebrating finding love. The singer who headlined the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas last Friday, sings, "When you hold me, I'm alive. We're like diamonds in the sky."

Rihanna said the song is different from her other releases. "It gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it," she told Elvis Duran. ""They lyrics are very hopeful and positive. But it's about love. I just think the gears are a little different than what people would expect me. I'm excited to surprise them sonically."

The Barbadian singer also announces her "Rihanna Diamonds World Tour" which kicks off at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York on March 8 and wraps in Brooklyn at the Barclays Center on May 4.
