A-Wax Based ‘Jesus Malverde’ Album On Mexican Folklore Saint

Who is Jesus Malverde? Pittsburg, California rapper A-Wax offers a lesson on the Mexican folklore hero during his recent interview with The Aftermath.

The bandit who was killed by authorities in the early 1900s is the subject of A-Wax's concept album, Jesus Malverde, released Tuesday. During his interview, A-Wax also explains why he doesn't have a regional sound, the meaning behind his chilling video "The Shooter," and the advice he received in prison from older inmates.
