Exclusive! Matisyahu Premieres New Live Video From EP

Matisyahu (Photo: Jonathan Leibson)Fans of Matisyahu no doubt know that the pioneering Jewish reggae superstar--who famously shaved his Hassidic beard in 2011--released his first-ever live acoustic EP, Spark Seeker: Acoustic Sessions, on Tuesday.

Matisyahu had the opportunity to capture some moments from his annual "Festival Of Light" in December--from which he culled the material for his live recordings--and we at Yahoo! Music are delighted to premiere one of these performances, "Searchin'," for music fans to get a first look at.

"I’m able to take these words and strip away much of that ‘studio’ process, exposing each lyric—bare, with little more than a guitar and a microphone," the singer noted. "It’s a different level of emotion that pours out in the acoustic setting."

Matisyahu is currently about to embark on a cross-country tour starting this month. Here's where you can see him live, and be sure to check in at his official site for updates.
