American Music Awards? It's everyone's favorite firework, Katy Perry, who is slated to open the show on Nov. 24.
Perry will perform "Unconditionally," which is the second single off her newly released fourth album, Prism. But if that's not enough for pop fans, Perry won't be the only fine female taking the stage at the show. Jennifer Lopez is also on tap to appear, paying tribute to the late salsa legend Celia Cruz. And, the two surviving members of trendsetting trio TLC will be at the AMAs as well. They're rumored to sing with an as-yet-unannounced guest, so stay tuned! Perry, Lopez, and TLC will join previously announced performers Luke Bryan, Miley Cyrus, Florida Georgia Line, Lady Gaga, Ke$ha, Imagine Dragons, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, One Direction and Justin Timberlake.
As revealed first by Yahoo Music, Pitbull will host this year’s awards, as well as turn in a performance of his own.
The American Music Awards are wholly determined by fan vote; you can choose your own favorites here. In addition, this year fans will be able to vote for the very first time via Twitter!
The AMAs ceremony will be broadcast live from L.A. Live's Nokia Theater Sunday, November 24 on ABC. A complete list of nominees can be found here.
