If you enjoyed seeing Carrie Underwood on the silver screen in the film Soul Surfer--or, her cameo on the TV sitcom How I Met Your Mother last year--here's yet another chance to see her act.
Well, perhaps saying she's "acting" is stretching it a bit, though. Underwood will mostly be playing herself--that is, a singer--when she appears on the second-season premiere of CBS's drama Blue Bloods in late September.
What is especially exciting, however, is who she will be singing with. Musical legend Tony Bennett (also playing himself) will join her on the premiere for a duet of "It Had To Be You."
If you're wondering how exactly this fits into the drama's plotline--Underwood and Bennett will be portraying a performance at a fundraising event which show regulars Tom Selleck and Bridget Moynahan are attending. The two entertainers will reportedly interact with the show's principals as well as sing, so perhaps there will be opportunity to see Underwood do a bit of real acting.
