Country music legend and Hall of Famer George Jones was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday--but not to worry. He's back home and doing just fine.
Jones, who is 79, reportedly checked in to a Nashville-area hospital for a routine annual checkup and was required to stay overnight for monitoring. He was fully expected to leave the following morning, and did return to his home on Thursday.
Jones made light of the visit, joking that he didn't feel like driving home in the cold, so decided to spend the night.
According to his official website, he's "feeling fine" as of Thursday and was turning his mind to weekend plans.
"He'd begun concerning himself with important issues, like the big NFL playoff game coming up Sunday afternoon between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers," noted a release on his site.
