Country’s Most Formidable Gals Will Represent At The Grammys This Year

Miranda Lambert (Photo: Tommaso Boddi)Country music will be in full force at this year’s Grammys—and, quite attractively represented, as well. Three of country’s biggest stars, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, and Miranda Lambert will be performing live on the 55th annual awards program February 10.

Lambert is the latest country gal to join the performance roster, announcing her slot on Tuesday during an appearance on The Talk. “The Grammys are so exclusive, and it’s all genres, it’s not just country, it’s everybody voting for you," she noted.

"It just means the world to have a nomination and get to perform,” added Lambert, who is up for Best Country Album. "It’s so nerve-wracking though—it’s like everybody out there. Everybody that’s anybody!”

Grammy veteran Underwood (she’s got five of the awards already) was announced as a performer last week. She’s competing in the Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance categories for her track “Blown Away.”

As for Swift, she was part of the initial performers’ announcement earlier this month. She’s up for three awards, including the coveted all-genre Record of the Year distinction for “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”

The 55th annual Grammy Awards will broadcast live from Los Angeles on CBS, starting at 8 ET/PT.
