It's late September, and that means fall has arrived, and that means sports. But if all you overeager sportsfans have already burned out on your fantasy football leagues, Craig Morgan has something new and fun for you to try out...fantasy hunting!
Morgan, who in addition to his music career is also an avid sportsman (in fact, he hosts his own show on the Outdoor Channel, Craig Morgan: All Access Outdoors), has a personal interest in this game. He's become the first country music artist to join the Fantasy Hunting League!
If you've never heard of this, FHL is the first and only website dedicated to following the seasons of the top professional hunters in North America. Fans of the sport can register for free, and select a team of five professional hunters to follow throughout the hunting season.
When hunters harvest animals, registered users score points and win prizes. (A pretty good chunk of prizes, it seems, too--according to the FHL site, they're awarding more than $60,000 worth of cash and other stuff to lucky players.)
I asked Morgan what's the big draw to playing fantasy hunting, and he answered, "If you like playing fantasy football you'll love fantasy hunting because it's all about the sport. You get to pick your own players and teams to compete against your friends, plus you get the chance to win great prizes each week."
Sound like fun? Get on over to FHL and register, and be sure to choose Morgan for your team! Here's his professional hunter's profile if you'd like to check it out.
Morgan (the musician) is currently playing a few dates this fall on tour and you can keep up with his schedule here. You can also catch him hosting All Access Outdoors Saturdays at 11 a.m. ET on the Outdoor Channel.
Will you give fantasy hunting a try, or do you think you'll just stick to football this season? Be sure to let me know what's on your minds!
As always, be sure to:
