Cute Country Couple Alert: Jana Kramer Says ‘Yes’ To Brantley Gilbert!

Kramer and Gilbert on a date earlier this year (Facebook/Jana Kramer)It was Brantley Gilbert's 28th birthday on Sunday, but his girlfriend Jana Kramer was the one who got the coolest gift of the day--an engagement ring, that is!

People confirmed today that One Tree Hill actress and up-and-coming country star Kramer, 29, said yes to fellow country crooner Gilbert at Nashville's historic Ryman auditorium. Kramer admitted to People that she was "so surprised" by the proposal, and she appreciated that he had taken the time to ask her mother for permission beforehand.

What's even cooler than that?! The two are both up for New Vocalist of the Year (in their respective male/female categories) at the 2013 Academy of Country Music Awards. All we gotta say is: Watch out Blake and Miranda--you've got competition for "cute married country couple" coming your way!

Kramer and Gilbert confirmed they were dating in September of 2012. By the end of the year, reports were circulating that the two were getting quite serious, and had moved in together. Earlier this month, Kramer admitted to CMT Radio that they were indeed sharing a house in Nashville that they'd jointly picked out. Kramer was the one who bought the house, but joked that Gilbert was "paying his little monthly rent." Apparently he managed his money well enough to buy his "landlady" a ring!

This is Kramer's second marriage: She was hitched briefly to actor Johnathon Schaech in 2010. It'll be the first trip down the aisle for Gilbert.

No word on a wedding date yet; however, both artists are quite busy at the moment. Gilbert will hit the road for a few weeks starting at the end of this month. You can keep up with his schedule here. Kramer has some live dates on her schedule as well--check out where you can see her, here.

Congrats to the happy couple!
