Dwight Yoakam Gets Psychedelic With New Video, ‘A Heart Like Mine’

If you can't get enough of Dwight Yoakam's stellar new album 3 Pears, you're not alone--so we are extra happy to show off the first official video from the project, "A Heart Like Mine."

Yoakam mentioned that he was influenced by some of John Lennon's more psychedelic moments when working on the album--so true to form, this video is awash with midcentury modern touches such as graphic split screens, black-and-white to color swaps, and saturated hues.

Dwight Yoakam"A Heart Like Mine" is one of two songs on 3 Pears that was co-produced by indie hero Beck. Yoakam also collaborated with other well-known names for the project, such as Kid Rock and the Pistol Annies' Ashley Monroe. The album was released on September 18 to considerable critical acclaim.
