Garth Brooks Is In The Kitchen! Superstar Teams With Wife Trisha Yearwood On Cooking Show

They say the couple that plays together, stays together--and, in the case of country power pair Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, that's certainly true! The husband-and wife team share a favorite hobby, cooking, which they show off during a rare joint appearance on Yearwood's Food Network series, Trisha's Southern Kitchen.

In the new epsiode, titled "Garth Brooks Is In The Kitchen" and airing Saturday at 11 a.m. ET/PT, Yearwood and Brooks team up to create some of the dishes they love to cook together: Black Bean Lasagna, Trisha's Thai Salad, "Miss" Mickey's Peanut Butter Balls and Lemonade. (You can cook along with them--recipes are available here.)

Although the program is centered around Yearwood's cooking style, she readily admits that her husband spends plenty of time in their kitchen as well. "He is also a really good cook," she related prior to the debut of her series in April. "If I'm not cooking in the kitchen, he is, and he's much more creative in the kitchen--creating dishes that I'd never even think of!"

Brooks initially did not make an appearance on Yearwood's show, so his inclusion this season is a welcome treat for fans. "I wanted to do [the show] on my own at first...make sure I was comfortable first," Yearwood explained. "He would do anything I wanted, but I didn't want to put him in a situation until I'd kind of felt it out."
