Everyone out there getting ready for Independence Day? Whether you're hosting a backyard barbecue or firing up your car for a road trip, I've got some new country music for you that'll be a perfect vibe for your holiday weekend.
Catchy quartet Gloriana, who are getting set to release their sophomore album, are offering a free download of their new tune "Soldier Song" on their Facebook account. The song is especially appropriate for July 4, as it was inspired by the band's experience last fall performing for our troops stationed in the Middle East and Europe.
You can download the song starting Thursday, June 30, and it will be available through July 7. In an extra-special touch, a video featuring fan-submitted photos of friends and family in the military will also be up for viewing on the Gloriana Facebook page.
Here's a little bit of insider trivia regarding this song for all you hardcore Gloriana fans. I interviewed the band a few months ago--at the time, they were still finalizing their tracklisting for the album and didn't have a firm title yet for "Soldier Song." In fact, they were actually considering naming it "Soldier Standing."
However, after a little quick band debate (which you can see here at the end of this exclusive interview)--they decided right then and there on the spot to go with "Soldier Song." Check it out!
Gloriana is currently on tour playing fairs and festivals across the country for the duration of the summer. Want to see if they'll be hitting your town soon? Check here for dates.
As always, be sure to:
