Jake Owen Becomes A New Daddy On Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day was a holiday of special gratitude for Jake Owen, as his family received something just a wee bit extra to be thankful for. The singer became a brand-new dad on November 22!

The little holiday baby, named Olive Pearl (she'll be called by her middle name, which was chosen in honor of Owen's later godmother) weighed in at 6 pounds 3 ounces, according to an ecstatic report from Daddy. "Today is the greatest day of my life," Owen tweeted, adding an adorable picture of himself holding his newborn "turkey baby."

Mom is Owen's wife Lacey, whom he married in May. The couple have been wasting no time getting settled this year--the wedding took place only a month after Owen's onstage proposal, and now they are officially parents just seven months later.

"Lacey and I are so excited to start our own family," Owen said in a statement. "We are looking forward to teaching Pearl everything we learned from our parents and also learning from her."

Congratulations to the Owen family on your sweet Thanksgiving gift! What a way to start the holidays!
