Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott Is Engaged!

Okay, so all the big anticipated country weddings for 2011 have taken place--Kellie Pickler, Shania Twain, LeAnn Rimes, and Miranda Lambert are all good and hitched now.

So, are you ready for the next wave of beautiful country brides-to-be? Here's one to get the ball rolling: Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott just got engaged over the 4th of July weekend!

Scott's boyfriend, drummer Chris Tyrell, popped the question at sunset overlooking an East Tennessee lake. According to Scott, it was the proposal she's always dreamed of--although she wasn't exactly dressed for the occasion.

"We had just been on a hike," the singer told People. "And--in our workout clothes--he hit the knee!"

Scott added that she and her fiance feel "so blessed" and are "looking so forward to forever together."

Scott and Tyrell first met in 2010 when Tyrell was drumming for country group Love And Theft. Both his band and Lady Antebellum were opening up for Tim McGraw's Southern Voice tour at the time.

There is no date set for the wedding yet. Lady Antebellum are busy on tour right now and preparing for the September release of new album Own The Night. We'll be keeping our ears open, of course! Congrats to the lovely new couple--and hopefully, the next big country wedding to come!

Aren't Hillary and Chris cute? Be sure to leave your congrats for them here!
