Pop diva Lady Gaga's attempt at "countrifying" her hit single "Born This Way" may have been met with lukewarm reviews from true country fans...but, that doesn't mean the song itself is, um, un-countrifiable. (Sorry, I just coined that word, folks.)
Proof positive: When a real country band takes "Born This Way" on, it sounds just fine, indeed. Little Big Town--a quartet that inarguably knows how to twang it up authentically--rose to the challenge and produced a bluegrass version of the tune, packing it with plenty of rootsy harmony.
Check their rendition out here. Now doesn't that sound nice? I bet Gaga would think so too. Wonder if she's heard it yet?
This isn't the first non-country cover LBT has put their collective hands to. They've also done a version of Irish rockers the Script's "For The First Time" (watch here) and pop sensation Bruno Mars's "Grenade" (here).
