Who's the latest country star to be expecting a new family addition this year? It's Mike Eli of the Eli Young Band, who's confirmed he and his wife will be proud parents this summer.
This marks the first baby for the frontman and his wife, Kacey, who just celebrated their second anniversary this month. The special delivery is a girl (would that be a "crazy girl"? Sorry, couldn't resist!) and she's due to arrive in early August. The band is arranging their summer tour schedule to accommodate in case the little one decides to make her debut early.

In the meantime, Eli is preparing for his new role by reading baby-care books provided by his wife and mother-in-law. He admits to People that it's all a bit overwhelming. "I recommend reading them for the basics and what to expect during pregnancy," he notes. "But they can't teach you to be a good dad and a good partner. That's up to me to figure out."
The Eli Young Band have just wrapped up an Australian tour (with Faith Hill and Tim McGraw), and are up for three awards Sunday night at the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas--including the coveted vocal group of the year honor. Now, wouldn't winning that be a nice early birthday gift for the wee one?
