"It's Bday month for me yall!" tweeted Miranda Lambert on Saturday, cheerfully listing a string of presents she'd like to receive for her special day--including a Country Music Association Award, diamond earrings from husband Blake Shelton, and a No. 1 album.
Four The Record debuted at the top slot on the Billboard Country Albums chart this week, which marks an extra "gift" for Lambert: All four of her major-label albums to date have hit No. 1 on the country chart.
Additionally, Four The Record bowed at No. 3 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart--this is her third top 10 album in a row on this particular chart.
If that weren't enough, Lambert also outdid her husband Shelton in first-week sales of their newest albums, moving 133K copies of Four The Record to Shelton's 116K of Red River Blue (Shelton, however, hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with his album due to slower overall sales that week--so I'd say it's a pretty fair draw).
So, with all of this...Happy birthday, dear Miranda! Fans will no doubt be rooting for her to get at least one more birthday gift at the CMA Awards, where she is up for Female Vocalist and Vocal Event of the Year. If she happens to go home empty-handed (which I predict is unlikely), no doubt she will be celebrating a win by her husband, who is competing in five categories, including the coveted Entertainer and Album of the year awards. Good luck to the Shelton family! You can tune into the CMA Awards tonight at 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
