"You have witnessed the greatest night of our lives," said Gary LeVox. "Still buzzing from it this morning!" Joe Don Rooney tweeted the morning after.
The trio's ceremony was held Saturday night during the Opry's 86th Birthday Bash. Country legend Little Jimmy Dickens did the honor of induction. And, if that weren't enough, the Flatts got another honor--a special congratulatory video message from former President George W. Bush.
"We are big fans of Gary, Jay, and Joe Don," said Bush, speaking on behalf of himself and former First Lady Laura Bush. "We love their music, and we also love their compassion and generosity. Throughout their success, Rascal Flatts have given back to their community and to our country by supporting the Make A Wish Foundation, Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, and the American Red Cross. I am especially proud of their efforts to honor the men and women of our armed forces, and the heroes who are wounded on the front lines. So thanks for your example of excellence and patriotism."
This isn't the first time a member of the Bush family has offered congrats at an Opry induction. In August, former President George H.W. Bush gave a similar tribute for the Oak Ridge Boys.
What a fantastic evening for the Flatts! Huge congrats from our end--be sure to leave your own congratulations as well!
As always, be sure to:
