Rising Country Star Sarah Darling Set To Perform On ABC’s ‘Bachelor’

Country music fans who are also reality TV junkies will get a special treat Monday night when tuning in to the latest episode of The Bachelor. While star Sean Lowe takes his date out in the town of Whitefish, Montana, he'll be serenaded by rising country star Sarah Darling, who performs a rendition of her hit "Home To Me."

Darling noted that the taping--her biggest national TV exposure to date--was thrilling for the obvious reasons, but also because she got some much appreciated time with fans. "It was really sweet because they opened [the taping] up to the public, and I got to meet everyone in this small quaint little town," she noted. "They all showed up and I got to play for them. It was amazing to be on the Bachelor, but it was amazing to meet all these new fans and get to spend some one-on-one."

Darling had fun exploring the little town and meeting Lowe; however, one thing that wasn't revealed to her were any advance plot twists. "No! They are very secretive about that," she asserted with a laugh. "I have no idea if he even ends up with the date that I see on the show. I don’t even know what happens!"

Darling's appearance on the popular show is just one of many "firsts" for the singer in 2013. She's also going out on her first major tour, with fellow country star Scotty McCreery, starting on Valentine's Day.

She explains she's been friends with McCreery for a while: "When we first met, it was at an Atlanta Braves game. It was pouring down rain and I’ll never forget this—I was singing the National Anthem and he was just there watching, because he loves baseball. We were kind of thrown together in the dugout to stay out of the rain. I got to know him a little bit, he’s such a great guy, and we became friends."

Without a doubt, however, the thing that Darling is most anticipating in 2013 is the release her debut full-length album, which comes out in July. She recently released a 4-song EP as a "little teaser," but is eager for fans to hear the entire body of work. A great deal of her excitement comes from working with star producer Dan Huff, who sought her out specifically to collaborate with. "When I listen to the tracks, I light up. It’s a feeling I’ve never had before," Darling said.

Darling's episode of The Bachelor airs Monday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Be sure to check it out!
