Shania Twain Blogs About Her ‘Idol’ Impressions

Okay, so I'm sure you Idol fans have already read Reality Rocks blogger Lyndsey Parker's thorough recap of last night's Top 6 show--or, as I'm sure all the country fans prefer to refer to it, Shania Twain Night, in which the country superstar mentored the final six contestants as they performed versions of her hit songs.

However, if you're interested in what Shania herself thought of the experience, she took the opportunity to update her (very infrequently updated) personal blog with some thoughts about the evening's events.

For the most part, she played no favorites, noting only that she was happy to meet up with Crystal [Bowersox] and Lee [Dewyze] again, both of whom she was rooting for at the Chicago auditions while guest judging earlier in the season. Instead, she discussed the deeply moving experience she had while experiencing the finalists performing her songs.

"It was emotional for me to listen to every one of their gorgeous voices singing my words," she wrote. "I was moved and very impressed by their emotion and original interpretations of my music. Every one of them thoroughly entertained me and reminded me of how lucky I am to be a songwriter.

She also noted: "America, I'm glad it's you having to make the decision of who stays and who goes and not me.  I personally think  they are all worthy of appreciation for their talent and hate to see any of them go at this point, to be honest.  They all have sweet personalities, a genuine desire to make it, a passion for music and an admirable level of humility about them."

Shania did admit "I do have thoughts on the ones I believe rise above at this point," but she declined to give any hints, instead simply wishing all good luck.

You can read her entire blog entry here. By the way, Shania has just started an official Twitter account, so you might want to check that here and there to possibly catch some more of her insight on the experience.

And, of course, be sure to catch the results show, which will be broadcast tonight on FOX at 9:00 P.M. ET.

As always, be sure to:
