Stalker Apprehended At Taylor Swift’s Estate; Claims To Be Her Boyfriend

Taylor Swift (Photo: Kevin Kane)Taylor Swift received a very unwelcome surprise shortly after her birthday when a knife-carrying intruder managed to trespass on her Nashville estate early Friday morning.

Luckily, Swift was not on the property--which is believed to be the house she bought for her parents in 2011--when 24-year-old Jake Kulke was arrested on the scene. The superstar was overseas in England celebrating with new boyfriend Harry Styles at the time of the intrusion.

Jacob Kulke (Photo: Mugshots.com)According to local news, Kulke made it over a fence and a secured gate before being stopped by security. He told them that Swift was his girlfriend, that he had been in contact with her via social media, and that he wished to surprise her for her birthday, which fell on Thursday.

Kulke informed police that he'd taken a bus from Wisconsin in order to get to Nashville. He was booked around 2 a.m. Friday morning on a criminal trespassing charge and is currently being held on $10,000 bond.

A Twitter account that appears to belong to Kulke contains a tweet wishing Swift a happy birthday, as well as a cryptic one a day earlier stating "Had to go see about a girl."

According to police, Kulke has a prior record of arrests for various charges, and a current warrant for his arrest is out in Colorado.

Swift just recently told Cosmopolitan UK that she is fearful of stalkers--"Sometimes you get a dude who kind of wants to steal you. That's why I'm so grateful I have people looking after me"-- and that in the past couple of years she has seen the stalking issue escalate.
