Surprise! Ashton Kutcher Sings Country At The ACM Awards

The 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards featured a range of distinctly non-country presenters, ranging from Marc Anthony to rock legends KISS. However, one of them stood out in particular for gamely making an attempt to impress the country fans in the audience.

That would be Two And A Half Men star Ashton Kutcher, who took the stage to present the female vocalist of the year award dressed in full cowboy gear--including a black hat, oversized belt buckle, and flashy coat.

He then went a step further by singing a stanza from a country song...and not just any country song, but "I Cross My Heart" by the King of Country, George Strait, himself.

Although Kutcher's certainly no Strait, he didn't do half-bad of a job--especially considering this is one of the first awards-show appearances he's made since splitting with wife Demi Moore late last year. He has a pleasant on-key voice and didn't falter once. Furthermore, the audience seemed to enjoy his little serenade.Kutcher goes country!

But don't count on Kutcher pursuing any Nashville record deals in the near future. It's just been announced that he'll be portraying the late Steve Jobs in an upcoming film, so chances are he'll be kicking off his boots and getting to work on that.
