When Taylor Swift made her Speak Now tour stop in Atlanta over the weekend, she continued the usual practice of inviting a special guest on stage to perform with her. The guest who performed with her on Sunday, however, was a bit different from the rest...in fact, he'd just come fresh out of jail!
Yep, it was Atlanta's own superstar (and convicted felon) T.I. who hopped on stage to perform his hit "Live Your Life" with the country/pop sweetheart. T.I. was just released a few days ago from a halfway house after serving 10 months in federal prison for a probation violation.
Swift did a good job of stunning her audience with her guest for the evening--toward the end of her set, she broke into the opening chorus of "Live Your Life," then abruptly announced "T.I.!" with her hand in the air. The Grammy-winning rapper then descended down a staircase, amid ear-piercing screams from the crowd.
"Singing 'Live Your Life' with TI tonight was unreal. LOUDEST screams from the crowd, 14,000 people, hands in the air- welcome back @Tip!!" Swift tweeted after the show. She also included a photo of T.I. hanging out backstage with fellow rappers Nelly and Young Jeezy.
T.I. wasn't the only megastar who joined Swift for her Atlanta weekend. On Saturday, Usher "rocked the stage" (his own words) with her--the pair teamed up for a version of his hit "Yeah!"
Was this Taylor's coolest weekend on tour yet? Be sure to let me know your thoughts!
As always, be sure to:
