American Idol, The Day After: Top 13 Party Dish

On Thursday night the Season 10 "American Idol" top 13 (yes, THIRTEEN--10 popular voter-getters, plus three Wild Cards) were announced, and since America and the judges for the most part got it right this season, it was cause for celebration.

So my Yahoo! Entertainment colleague Matt Whitfield and I hit Fox's big top 13 afterparty over the Grove in West Hollywood...where we stood close enough to J.Lo to smell the Glow, snagged some fawning photo opps with our favorite contestants, were blinded by the WhiteStripped brilliance of Paul McDonald's teeth, and historically filmed our very first on-location edition of "The Day After"!

Of course, it didn't quite feel like a party without Brett Loewenstern flipping his ginger hair around the dance floor, Clint Jun Gamboa doing some karaoke, or Lauren Turner rockin' the joint, but we soldiered on bravely--thanks in no small part to Fox's open bar (with cocktail names like The Dream, Who Do You Love?, And The Winner Is, and the non-alcoholic The Minor).

But we also found solace in the fact that many other worthy contestants did make it through. So come celebrate with us on "Idol's" blue carpet by watching our latest episode below!
