  • The Idols Live Tour, featuring the top 11 contestants from "American Idol" Season 10, kicks off July 6 at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah, and the Idols have been hard at work in a super-secret Los Angeles bunker getting ready for the big summer tour.

Among them are Thia Megia, "Idol's" youngest contestant ever, who'll be spending her summer vacation in a way most barely-16-year-olds can only imagine: traveling coast to-coast, performing for thousands of screaming fans. And she'll no doubt handle the experience with her usual maturity.

Reality Rocks recently gained entry to that super-secret bunker, where I got to interview all 11 Idols about their tour plans and beyond. That interview series begins here with Thia, as she discusses balancing school and stardom, her bond with the fellow Idols and her fans, her love of the family she's leaving at home, and what's next for her. Check out what she had to say:

  • Okay, first the bad news: Original Idol Kelly Clarkson's fifth album has been pushed back ANOTHER month, so it's not coming out until October now. The good news? You can hear a decent-quality version of her rumored new single, "Let Me Down," right now! At least until the powers-that-be yank it down, that is.

Upon first listen, "Let Me Down" certainly brings to mind My December's vitriolic breakup single, "Never Again," aka the "You Oughta Know" of the "American Idol" franchise. Bitter and presumably semi-autobiographical "Let Me Down" lyrics like "The funny thing about forever/Is it comes with a side of never never," "I wanna think that you'll be different/Smoke and mirrors are so clever clever," and "I've been dying to open my eyes/See you try instead of always leaving me out to dry" indicate that America's sweetheart is still unlucky in love--or at least still drawing on past romantic injustices for musical inspiration.

But while I may be in the minority, given the disappointing

  • Last month, on the first "So You Think You Can Dance" live results show of Season 8, hostess Cat Deeley wished out loud that no one would be sent home. And, shockingly, she was actually granted her wish. With only a few minutes left in the telecast, executive producer and main judge Nigel Lythgoe controversially decided to save all 20 dancers. At the time, this was cause for major celebration: After all, the contestants were all so amazing it seemed a shame to cut any of them, especially the wonderful Mitchell, who was only in the bottom seven by default due to injury.

But now, just three weeks later, it's becoming more and more clear that this was a bad decision, one with long-reaching and possibly dire ramifications for "SYTYCD." Much ado has been made about this season's sinking ratings (last week it took a particularly catastrophic hit, a 20 percent drop in just one week), and while other factors must be taken into account--like the "Voice" finale on a competing network, the long

  • Thursday was a rough night on "So You Think You Can Dance," as the Mr. Personality of the show, Robert "Woo Man" Taylor, and Miranda, who was rising in the ranks and seemed like Nigel Lythgoe's new favorite, were both sadly sent home.

Robert took the news in stride, admitting to reporters backstage at the results show that he wasn't surprised to be in the bottom six and already animatedly discussing his showbiz future, which might include singing. (Did you know he once made it to the top 65 on "American Idol"? It's true!) Miranda, however, seemed to harbor more mixed feelings about her elimination--and who could blame her, considering the glowing praise she'd recieved the night before? But she still held her head high.

Watch Robert and Miranda's interviews after this week's results show, to get their perspective on their brief but memorable "SYTYCD" journeys. I miss them already.

  • Season 8 of "So You Think You Can Dance" may be the most competitive season yet, but the most moving dance of S8 so far hasn't been by any of the actual contestants. That honor goes to two members of Oakland's Axis Dance Company, one of whom is in a wheelchair.

Judge Lil' C jokingly told contestant Miranda this week, "With legs like those, who needs arms?"--but ironically, the opposite could be said of brawny wheelchair-bound Axis dancer Rodney Bell, who stunningly performed on this week's "SYTYCD" results show with partner Sonsheree Giles. The two danced an excerpt from a brilliant Alex Ketley-choreographed piece called "To Color Me Different," and it was utterly inspiring, proving that dancers come in all shapes and sizes.

Axis was founded in 1987 by Thais Mazur and is now under the artistic direction of Judith Smith, both of whom had a dream of combining differently abled dancers in "physically integrated" routines. (Axis's mission statement on its website, axisofdance.org, is to

  • "Thursdays...they suck," hostess Cat Deeley griped at the start of this week's "So You Think You Can Dance" results show. Yep, they sure do, Cat. Especially when the wrong contestants go home.

Granted, this week's elimination night wasn't quite as hard a blow as last week's, since only two dancers (compared to last Thursday's whopping four) went home. And perhaps it is harsh to say that the "wrong" dancers got cut, when really, in a season as competitive as this one, there are no "right" dancers to eliminate--all are worthy, and all could have easily made the top 10 in a past "SYTYCD" season. But still, I have serious issues with who was eliminated this week, particularly among the girls.

Two of the couples in the bottom were Ashley and Chris and Caitlynn and Mitchell, as I'd predicted. Although Caitlynn and Mitchell's samba this week was superb, I figured they'd be in danger simply because they did a less popular genre of dance. (Let's face it: Couples who get contemporary and hip-hop

  • On Wednesday night the first season of "The Voice" wrapped up, with longtime frontrunner Javier Colon unsurprsingly winning in a narrow (2 percent) lead over the lovely Dia Frampton. After the big event, I was delighted to get to chat on the red carpet with both Javier and Dia, as well as some other "Voice" alums and...drumroll, please...Javier's finale night duet partner, the legendary Stevie Nicks.

Check out my red carpet interviews with Javier, Dia, Vicci Martinez, Beverly McClellan (with Christina Aguilera on her arm), Nakia, host Carson Daly, and social media guru Alison Haislip...and of course, make sure to watch for the fabulously leather-gloved and aviator-framed Stevie, who had plenty of nice things to say about Javier.
