According to Britain's The Sun, Beyonce said that the Arrangement's towheaded lead boy, 18-year-old Jono Miles, was "adorable. He just had so much charisma. He handled himself like a star." She added: "I just saw the YouTube video of the Arrangement, and I have to say I absolutely loved it! I thought they were hilarious at the same time as being very talented. They have my backing."
Check out the Arrangement's bizarre medley of hits by Beyonce, the Black Eyed Peas, Flo Rida, and Lady Gaga below ("If I Were a Boy" comes in at 2:09):
Jono told The Sun he was thrilled to have the support of such a superstar. "I was starting to think that the fact we hadn't heard from anyone whose song we've done was a sign of some sort," he said. "But it's great to hear Beyonce herself has endorsed it. I feel a lot more confident now."
Jono said Beyonce's approval was especially comforting because the Arrangement received so much flak from other American viewers who didn't share Beyonce's sense of humor. "We've had loads of abuse from people in the U.S. who don't get it. They were saying things like, 'Why is he singing 'If I Were a Boy' when he is a boy?' We're not to be taken seriously. Anyway, I'm not expecting to be big stars in America--we're probably too British."
The Arrangement probably won't become stars in the States, because they were sadly eliminated from "Britain's Got Talent" Wednesday night. But I along with Beyonce still support them. And I am disappointed that they didn't make it further on "BGT"--because if they had, they were reportedly planning to do a medley entirely consisting of Simon Cowell-signed acts. Is is possible the Arrangement may be invited back as special guests on the "BGT" finale, performing the hits of Il Divo, Susan Boyle, Westlife, and Leona Lewis? If so, I think Beyonce might arrange to watch. I know I will.
