David Cook Is Still King Of The Cover Songs

David Cook forever changed the game for "American Idol" in Season 7, with a series of Cookified cover songs that proved the show was about more than just a good singing voice--originality, creativity, artistry, and the ability to "make a song your own" also matter. Let's face it, David helped turn "Idol" into more than just a karaoke competition.

So now David is preparing to release his long-awaited second post-"Idol" album this spring, and to promote his return, this past weekend he played Las Vegas radio station Mix 94.1's Pet-A-Palooza event, where he treated fans to two-and-a-half Cookified covers: Adele's "Rolling In The Deep," the Cars' "Drive," and a medley of hs own song "Heroes" with Oasis's "Champagne Supernova."
