Gerard Way’s Famous Last Words…On Reality TV

I knew there was a reason I liked MyChemical Romance! Sure, I dig their music. But there's something else: ourshared love of reality television.

It seems Ihave a fellow fanatical blogger in MCR's Gerard Way--who, like me, is currentlyobsessed with VH1's horror-movie talent search Scream Queens and latest hoochie-tastic dating show, Real Chance Of Love.

My Chemical Romance just relaunched theirwebsite, and Gerard is now blogging about these chemically addictive Celebrealityshows:

------------------------------------------------------

Scream Queens was solid yet again, very tense episode. Ladies are getting fierce forthat part in Saw 6. I realized it'salso very unnerving to watch people act on television. It gives you the"motts."

The best way to describe "themotts" is like this:

Do you remember the first time youwatched a bad daytime interview show, like Springeror something, and someone is just making a total ass out of themselves, doingor saying something very uncomfortable?

Or when you are sitting through ahigh school talent show and all of a sudden you feel embarrassed for yourclassmate who is singing "The Greatest Love Of All" by Whitney Houston?

You sometimes have to cover youreyes, or look away.

That's "the motts."

The phrase was coined by Mark Debiakin reference to an old Motts Applesauce commercial from when we were kids, involving what I remember as a child dressed as a film noir detective searchingfor "the motts" or while searching for "the motts" askingpeople "who got the motts?" I believe he finds the motts at the end.

I find "the motts" all thetime.

Real Chance Of Love is slipping for me. I find myself mysteriously drawn to Real's hair, entertained by Chance, and fascinated with the term "Stallionaires." Ioften wonder what exactly it takes to be a "Stallionaire," but theshow didn't hold my attention last night...I simply do not know if Real orChance actually want to find love.

------------------------------------------------------

I agreewith Gerard on all points. I hope he keeps up with his the TV-blogging...I am dying to findout what he thinks of Celebrity Rehab 2,or if he was happy that Simeon won on the PickupArtist 2 finale last night, or if he too cannot wait until that wee-yotch Laceygets booted off Rock Of Love: CharmSchool. I must know!
