Monday was Guilty Pleasures Night on "Dancing With The Stars"--as if ANY regular episode of "DWTS" isn't
a guilty pleasure!--which meant guest house band Hanson performed "MMMBop" and the contestants samba'd, waltzed, and quickstepped to cheesy classics like "Walking On Sunshine," "My Heart Will Go On," "Don't Stop Believin'," "Everybody Dance Now," and "Hit Me Baby One More Time."
But it turned out judge Bruno Tonioli had the most to feel guilty about, when snarky host Tom Bergeron put him on the spot and played Elton John's 1983 "I'm Still Standing" video--possibly one of THE campiest music videos of all time--which featured a young Bruno flaunting his stuff in the South of France in a uni-shouldered leotard, bellhop's cap, legwarmers, and very little else.
Watch it in its entirety, in all its neon-colored, studded-leathered, teeny-Speedo'd glory, below:
Bruno, in a rare moment of humility, cringed and covered his eyes, but honestly, this was more entertaining than most of the actual dances on "DWTS" this week. Imagine how much more exciting the show would be with routines like this on a regular basis! Or just think...Naima Adedapo's "I'm Still Standing" performance on "American Idol" might not have gotten her voted off if it had been this awesome.
Bruno, you actually have nothing to feel guilty about.
