    Haley Reinhart Talks Debut Album

    Reality Rocks stopped by the Grammy rehearsals last Friday, where I was delighted to run into one of my favorite Season 10 "American Idol" finalists, Miss Haley Reinhart. Haley had just performed her first single, "Free," across the street for some lucky students at the Grammy Museum, and she was in good spirits as the promotional spree for her album officially got underway.

    Watch Haley talk about her hands-on approach to her album, how being an "Idol" underdog helped prepare her for her career, how she assembled her new backing band, and what to expect from her big Interscope debut. And watch this space for more Haley updates!

      I just came here to comment on the A Idol show, about that small latino producer guy that is their resident expert.

      He seems to atleast in past recordings favor the minority singers and gush less over the white singers, whether the singers are better or NOT.

        On the show more times than not he prefers minority tallent. Its evident in his comments to the artists.

      COMPETITION sure does bring out the 'BEST' & the 'Worst' in people!!
      IMO, Haley was the best 'overall' talent in Season 10. James Durbin was also awesome, just not quite as 'charming'. The voters went for the young 'southern charmers last season---
      There was an abundance of talent during Season 10...its a matter of personal preference whose style you admire. I thought Haley was just fantastic, from the 1st song she sang.

      Lets see...Haley has TRUE muscial talent..No Kareokee for this girl..She she could sing the phone book and it would sound good..Scotty is a cute kid but had know where even close of the talent that Haley has...But we had to face the facts that the voters are young teenage kids with Zero clue on talent and so we had Scotty. I can't wait for Haley's album I love her soulfull rock and rock voice..

      Love love loved her cover of Bennie and the Jets on Idol. Doesn't get much better than that. She definitely has 'it'!

      Ok im from the country and from Ga so I loved Laura Alaina I think she should have won. As far as Haley she was also awsome! I loved her rugged voice and the song she sang by Adele was perfect. I think Haley was treated badly by the judges (except Steven Tyler of course) I do not think they treated her fairly it was as if they had something personal against her. Haley should have been in 2nd place behind Laura. Scotty should have never made it to the top 10 let alone won this Idol. So Im wondering was the judges paid off or is Idol about who you know and how well you know them. Scotty also has a bad attitude to me. He claims to be a country boy well his part of the country must be different from mine Scotty people from the country are not snobby.......take lessons from Laura.

      Haley was not only the most talented singer last year she also didn't have the snotty uppity attitude that Scotty has.

        are you kidding me??? where did you ever see that scottie had an attitude?? I plainly saw during idol that HALEY had the additude and that is what turned me off to voting for her. her uppity remarks to the fans was sickning. I hope she has toned down that part of her, i wont be buying anything of hers.

        I'mcorrect: You are kidding about Haley, right????? She had an attitude from the get go. She thought she had the whole thing in the bag. I think Pia thought it would be her. Both girls have good voices. Most people don't like people that are so stuck on themselves. They think their looks will get them whatever they want. I guess they found out that they are wrong. There are millions of girls in this country that are a lot prettier than Haley and Pia and have more talent. We didn't get to see Pia that many times so I might be wrong about her but I am right on with Haley. She better learn to leave her, no one is better than me, attitude at the door.

        I agree with you about Scotty he did have the snobby attitude. Haleys attitude was because she was good and she knew it and the judges give her a hard time like they had something personal against her. They did not base their judgement on her talent!!!!

      I will definitely purchase Haley's album! She is uber talented and should have gone further than she did last year (either 2nd place or the WINNER). I have not watched AI this season because of the last few years results shows. Thanks for the interview, Lyndsey!

        Haley is great, but she was not going to beat Scotty ( no female contestant was ). Scotty's album has already gone platinum so his winning was not the fluke or just the young girls voting for the cute guy thing we all feared it was. They have actually supported him and he has gained a very large fan base. I am sure Haley will do just as well.
