Joshua Ledet vs. Juliet Simms: Who Sang It Best?

Last week on "The Voice," Juliet Simms gave what was undoubtedly THE performance of the entire "Voice" season, when she stunningly covered James Brown's "It's A Man's, Man's, Man's World." And then, lo and behold, last night on rival show "American Idol," star player Joshua Ledet wowed with the same song, and it was HIS best performance of the season as well. Hmmm...was this 'Idol' producer Nigel Lythgoe's sneaky way of throwing down the gauntlet and saying, "Oh yeah, 'Voice'? We can do it better"? You know, I wouldn't put it past the sly old devil.

But who did sing "Man's World" best? It's such a close race. I'm personally partial to Juliet's version, because I think in this day and age--and certainly in the male-dominated world of reality singing competitions--this statement song only has real relevance when it's flipped and twisted, and performed from a female underdog's perspective. But man...Joshua really slayed it, huh? Even Juliet tweeted about Joshua last night, saying, "Just watched a certain man sing 'It's a mans world' on tv..and I'm blown away..speechless..hats off."

Seriously, forget about Simon Cowell's master plan to host an "X Factor"/"Idol"/"Voice" superfinal; let's just have a singoff between Juliet and Joshua. I'd totally sign up to see that on pay-per-view. But until that happens...just for fun, I'm hosting a cyber-singoff of my own. So watch both amazing versions below and tell me: Who sang it best?
