Season 10 "American Idol" goddess of the growl, the fabulous Miss Haley Reinhart, recently came by Yahoo! Music to perform two songs from the aptly titled Listen Up!--her lushly retromodern debut album (think Amy Winehouse, Duffy, Nicole Atkins, Joss Stone) that is the perfect combination of sass and class.

Haley also reclined like a perfect '50s pinup on one of Yahoo!'s famous purple stools for a bit, to chat with me about her glamour-gal retro look and sound, the stories behind some of her songs, her musical family, and her advice for Season 11's "Idol" finalists. The only thing missing from this footage? A "Rhiannon"-style wind machine to blow through Haley's curly locks. Maybe we'll rent one the next time she comes back!
