Lyric Da Queen Surprises Yahoo!’s Lyndsey Parker On ‘The X Factor’ Preshow

I literally didn't see her coming!Regular readers of Reality Rocks are well aware that I was (and am) a massive fan of "The X Factor's" Lyric 145, and that I was none too thrilled with their ridiculous 12th-place elimination last week. So when I was invited to be a guest on "The X Factor's" live online preshow this past Wednesday, I was totally representin', rocking an eyepatch in protest and in honor of frontwoman Lyric Da Queen. But little did I know that I was about to be upstaged on the preshow by a special secret guest: Lyric Da Queen herself!

Yes, there I was, in the middle of discussing the greatness of Lyric 145 like some junior-high-schooler gushing about One Direction, when out of nowhere, Lyric showed up--and since I was wearing my eyepatch, I didn't see her until she was right in front of me. And once the Queen got into my one uncovered eye's line of vision, I pretty much flipped out like a junior-high-schooler meeting Harry Styles.

I'd almost be embarrassed by my arm-flapping, squeeing reaction, but it was a cute and very genuine moment. Really, I think the only thing I am embarrassed about is the fact that Lyric's amazing 3D eyepatch, which was impressively embellished with Glambert-worthy metal spikes, completely put my Party City pirate prop to shame.

Check out this week's entire "X Factor" live online preshow here, but before you do...click the player below to hear audio of the song Lyric 145 were supposed to do on Diva Night, before they were ordered to do that ill-fated Katy Perry/Queen mashup at the last minute. I've got mad R.E.S.P.E.C.T. for Lyric 145!
