Muppets Perform on ‘The X Factor,’ Cute Overload Ensues

Miss Piggy & Olly MursIf there are three things I love in this gawd-forsaken world, they are reality singing shows, puppets (see more on my well-documented puppet obsession here), and anything British. So when "The X Factor U.K." Season 6 runner-up Olly Murs performed this weekend on the "X Factor U.K." results show with the Muppets, my head pretty much exploded. Cute overload!

I am sure that ratings for "The X Factor USA" would skyrocket if the Muppets performed on every episode, instead of the usual assortment of Vegas-showgirl types who bumrush practically every performance on the American version of the show. And come on...Josh Krajcik jamming with Animal would be amazing; Kermit would probably be a better host than Steve Jones; and we all know Miss Piggy would keep Astro in his place.

Make it happen, Simon Cowell!
