Nicki Minaj Bashes Mariah Carey, Addresses ‘Idol’ Feud In New Song

photos: Yahoo! NewsIt's been weeks since Nicki's feud with her new "American Idol" co-star, Mariah Carey, went public, after TMZ "leaked" footage of the two alpha-females bickering on the set of the Season 12 auditions, and then Mariah shockingly told "The View's" Barbara Walters that Nicki had threatened to shoot her with a gun. The Fox PR machine subsequently lurched into damage-control overdrive, with producer Nigel Lythgoe and host Ryan Seacrest insisting that all was quiet on the "Idol" front, and publicists dispatching multiple staged press shots of Nicki and Mariah posing with pained, plastered grins on their faces (always with the buffer of fellow judges Randy Jackson and Keith Urban between them, of course).

But weeks later, Nicki still refuses to let it go.

In addition to dishing about the feud in her recent E! reality miniseries, "Nicki Minaj: My Truth," Her Minajesty is now rapping about it in a new song called "Hell Yeah," off Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded The Re-Up. Sample lyrics include...

"But you're boring as f***, though./Why these b****es in the game so cutthroat?/Why they can't just let young Nicki live?/Why they gotta feel the wrath to know Nicki is?/Not playin', boss for real/When they go against the kid it's gon' cost for real/Came straight from the hood with the cross-appeal/That's why these big names wanna toss the deal/Okay, I'll take it, sign on the dotted line/But I'm quick to the check a b**** if she outta line/Shout out [Fox executive] Mike Darnell and Nigel [Lythgoe]/Why these bums so mad that the queen on 'Idol,' huh?"

Ugh. Forget about the old adage that any publicity is good publicity. This feud is just NOT good for "American Idol's" image. At the end of the day, "Idol" has always been an uplifting, inspirational program for the whole family to enjoy, not "The Real Housewives Of Idol," and seeing this mess play out on E! and on record only makes me (and probably many other longtime viewers) dread "Idol's" Season 12 premiere...when normally I'd be looking forward to it with kid-on-Christmas-Eve excitement.

Check out the Mariah-baiting audio for "Hell Yeah" below. Do you think Mariah will ever record a response song?
