    Rachel Crow Signs Deals with Nickelodeon & Columbia

    photo: FoxRachel Crow's knee-dropping, jaw-dropping meltdown on the top five results show was THE most dramatic moment of "The X Factor" Season 1, but the 14-year-old "You're My Sunshine" singer is all smiles again this week--and a little closer to attaining her dream of getting her own bathroom--now that she has officially signed with Nickelodeon for a comedy series and with Columbia/Syco for a recording contract.

    According to Deadline.com, Rachel (who was long rumored to be signing with Disney) has inked an overall deal with Nickelodeon, which will include her own comedy series and a recurring role as the "confident but awkward teenager" Starr on Fred: The Show. "Rachel is an original," Nickelodeon's Paula Kaplan told Deadline. "She's funny, genuine, and has raw talent and a passion for performing." Said Rachel's former "X Factor" mentor Simon Cowell of signing Rachel to his Syco label: "This girl has it. We saw her potential at the first audition and Nickelodeon and Columbia are the right homes for her."

    "I just want to say that u all inspire me so much to do my best. I never forget for 1 second that w/out all of u this would not be happening," Rachel tweeted to her fans Wednesday morning, after her signings were announced.

    Rachel is the fifth "X Factor" Season 1 contestant to land a record deal, after Melanie Amaro, Chris Rene, Marcus Canty, and Astro all signed with L.A. Reid's Epic Records. Runner-up Josh Krajcik's label affiliation has yet to be announced, but The Hollywood Reporter reports that he does have a deal in place with Sony Music and is currently working with Adele/Duffy/Will Young/Kris Allen producer Eg White.

      Astro - prima donna street punk waste of time. Melanie - so amazing. Josh - real deal, hope he makes it. Marcus - new lead singer for the reformed Miracles? Rachel - Nickelodeon is so obvious I didn't think of it! She's perfect for it, the new Hannah Montana career track with a monster voice. Go get 'em kid. Kudos to Simon, he knows and he knows and he also cares about what he knows. A better mentor can't be found for these people.

      Rachel is an all around talent. No matter what she does she will succeed and be a big star. Melanie has a remarkable voice, and should be successful with her singing.

      Rachel, God has blessed her to go through the worst at a young age and now she can be a witness to other children that is born a crack baby. Never give up, there is a hugh blessing at the end of the trial. May the Grace of God always be upon Rachel.

      RACHEL is the real showman of the group-----She can do multiple things to hold an audience and I think she will be successful in both music and stage or screen roles. A STAR WAS BORN ON THAT SHOW----who can forget her performances.

      I love Rachel, her talent is amazing. Simon is a sweet heart of a man, he know,s who has alot to give, than he goes the extra mile,s to get it for them. He does not have to do anything,but he does. They both have my heart, I love X-Factor.

      Though Rachel Crow was sent home from X Factor, she did manage to get contracts with Disney and other tv channels due to her talents. Actually its much better than the recording contract X Factor offered as a prize. She will get much more publicity that way. Then Nicole's guilty conscience can be lifted off after her f**ked up decision on Dec 8/9[cant rmb].

      Josh and Chris......I hope do well. Rachel, I knew would have a contract with a teen icon production and I agree I can see her being the next Hannah.
