Scotty McCreery On The Scene Of The Idol Tour Rehearsals

The Idols Live Tour, featuring the top 11 contestants from "American Idol" Season 10, kicks off this week at the Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah, and over the past few weeks the Idols have been hard at work in a super-secret Los Angeles bunker rehearsing for the big event. Among them are, of course, winner Scotty McCreery, the main attraction for many fans buying a golden ticket to the show.

Reality Rocks recently gained entry to that super-secret bunker, where I got to interview all 11 Idols about their tour plans and beyond. And Scotty's interview was pretty interesting. McCreery doubters should be impressed by his maturity and composure, as well as his knowledge of old-school country music (Conway Twitty, Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Elvis Presley), considering this kid is only 17 years old. Hopefully this recent Opry performer can bring back a little bit of that vintage flavor when he releases his debut album later this year--a mix of songs that can "make you dance and make you cry," as he puts it.

Check out Scotty's interview below, in which he discusses the tour, the progres she's made on his album so far, and what it was like to appear at the Grand Old Opry:
