So They Think They Can Drag: ‘SYTYCD’ Stars Choreograph ‘RuPaul’s Drag Race’ Ballet

photo courtesy of LogoI sure do love it when two of my favorite television shows collide. Like when Adam Lambert judges on "Project Runway," or Kelly Clarkson mentors on "The Voice," or Clay Aiken pops up on the set of "America's Next Top Model." And "So You Think You Can Dance" alums Travis Wall and Nick Lazzarini guesting on a ballet-themed episode of "RuPaul's Drag Race"? Oh, heck yes. Can I get an amen up in here?

"SYTYCD" Season 1 winner Nick and Season 2 runner-up-turned-choreographer Travis (whose own reality show on the Oxygen network, "All The Right Moves," chronicles the adventures of their fledgling Shaping Sound dance company), appeared on "Drag Race" Monday night, to mastermind an original dance piece titled No RuPaulogies. (Side note: Willam Belli, the "Drag Race" contestant who coined that official drag-lexicon term, is a genius.) The Season 5 queens sashayed and shante'd throughout an epic, seven-minute ballet all about RuPaul's life...and if Mary Murphy was watching "Drag Race" this week, she must have given all of Ru's girls first-class tickets on her Hot Tamale Train. Woooo woooo!!!!

Surely this episode will win a Best Choreography Emmy, right? At the very least, Nigel Lythgoe should return the favor and invite RuPaul to be a guest judge on "SYTYCD" Season 10 this summer.
