‘The Voice Mexico’ To Go On Without Jenni Rivera

As the music world mourns the death of 43-year-old Mexican-American singing star Jenni Rivera, the popular TV singing competition on which she was a coach, "The Voice Mexico" (or "La Voz...Mexico"), will continue without her.

Jenni--who also starred in her own day-in-the-life reality show, "I Love Jenni," on the mun2 cable channel--was tragically killed in a plane crash last Sunday (while on her way to a "La Voz" taping), thus understandably delaying Sunday night's "La Voz" semifinal on the Televisa network. (Televisa aired a Jenni tribute special instead.) However, "La Voz...Mexico" will "resume with its regular transmission" this coming weekend, according to a statement by Televisa reps to The Hollywood Reporter--with no planned tweaks to the show's usual format.

Monday on "The Voice USA's" top four episode, host Carson Daly took a moment to honor the late "La Voz...Mexico" judge and Latin superstar, saying: "On a sad note tonight, our thoughts and prayers are with the family of Jenni Rivera. She was a coach on 'The Voice Mexico,' a personal friend, and a talented artist, and she will be greatly missed by many."

Yahoo! Music and Reality Rocks also send condolences, well-wishes, and prayers to Jenni Rivera's family, friends, and extended "Voice" family at this difficult time.
