‘Voice’ Runner-Up Terry McDermott Brings Back Britpop With New Track

Shaggy Scottish rocker Terry McDermott made his mark on Season 3 of "The Voice" belting out hairy Camaro classics from the Great American '70s/'80s Rock Songbook (Journey, Boston, Foreigner, et al). But his new original track, "Pictures," evokes the mid-2000s Britrock of bands like Travis, Embrace, Starsailor, and of course his own former Geffen group, Driveblind. It's very British, and it's bloody good.

Does this mean an album of modern McDermott music is on the way? Let's hope so. A guy with a voice like this needs to get in the studio, and back on my TV, as soon as possible.
