They were there to commemorate the life of Slayer guitarist Jeff Hanneman, 49, who died from alcohol-induced cirrhosis of the liver on May 2.

Photo: Brendon ThorneKaty Perry ignited a feud with rapper Chief Keef by dissing one of his songs via Twitter this week.

She said that his tune, "Hate Being Sober," gave her "serious doubt for the world," but it's his response to her comment that really has us doubting for the fate of humanity.

When the 17-year-old Chicago rapper caught wind of Perry's comment, he responded with lewd comments and threatened to assault her, tweeting that he'd "Smack the s--t out her." He also implied that he was going to go into the studio to write a song about the pop star.

He also offered a graphic description of a sexual act he wanted Perry to perform on him.

J.Lo's new company, Viva Movil, will market mobile phones and services to the rapidly growing Latino community in the United States. The "Jenny From the Block" star announced her partnership with Verizon at a Las Vegas press conference on Wednesday, saying that Viva Movil will be an authorized Verizon reseller and offer the same prices and plans as Verizon stores.

Photo: Michael LoccisanoThe world is watching as Maria Alyokhina, one of the members of punk band Pussy Riot, launched a hunger strike in a Russian jail Wednesday after she was stripped of the right to attend her own parole hearing.

One of those to take note was Sir Paul McCartney, who has penned a handwritten note to Russian officials in support of Alyokhina and her bandmate Nadezhda Tolokonnikova, who was denied parole last week. McCartney is asking Russian officials to release both women on parole.
