Amber Rose And Wiz Khalifa Announce Pregnancy At VMAs

Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa (Photo: Frederick M. Brown)Looks like MTV's annual Video Music Awards has now become the venue du jour to announce that one is expecting a new arrival. Following in Beyonce's footsteps from last year, hip-hop luminary Wiz Khalifa confirmed on the VMAs red carpet that fiancee Amber Rose is indeed with child.

It wasn't too hard to guess--rumors had already been flying for several days about the pregnancy, plus Rose was sporting a visible bump in her close-fitting lace dress--but the news was received with much excitement.

"We had to do it with you first, and we had to do it with the whole world, and just let everybody know that we're expecting a beautiful young baby," Khalifa announced on the carpet. "We're having a baby!" The couple put emphasis on the announcement by both touching the baby bump--she making a point of cradling her tummy, while he placed a protective hand over it for eager photographers.

Rose is the former girlfriend of Beyonce's friend Kanye West, whom she had a rocky relationship with that allegedly spawned some of West's more stinging compositions, including 2010's opus "Blame Game." West, who himself has a controversial history with the VMAs due to his 2009 run-in with Taylor Swift, was not present at this year's show. Rose and Khalifa announced their engagement in March.
