(JB Lacroix, WireImage)Rod Stewart is undoubtedly a true romantic. The 68-year-old British singer, who released his latest album, "Time," this week, revealed that a difficult split from his wife inspired him to cover Tom Waits' romantic ballad "Picture in a Frame" on his new record.

The "Do Ya Think I'm Sexy" singer told Australia's Life Magazine that he and his wife of six years, Penny Lancaster, were apart for two weeks, and he kept a photo of the mother of two of his children near his bed during that time.

(Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Jonathan Phillips)Friends and family of Kris Kross's Chris Kelly gathered in Atlanta Thursday to say goodbye to the rapper, who died May 1 from a suspected drug overdose at the age of 34.

Kelly’s musical partner and childhood friend Chris "Daddy Mac" Smith, Da Brat, members of Xscape, and Jermaine Dupri attended the funeral, which was held at Jackson Baptist Memorial Church.

Smith was visibly shaken when speaking about his childhood friend. Supported at the podium by his sister, he said, "This has been a struggle for me every day." He repeatedly broke into tears during his touching eulogy, at one point turning to Kelly’s mother and saying, "Donna, you've always been like a mother to me. I know I can't fill Chris's shoes, but I'll always be there for you."

Days before his death, the King of Pop told tour producer/director Kenny Ortega, "God keeps talking to me."

Ortega and associate producer Alif Sankey testified on Wednesday that they became increasingly alarmed at Jackson's frail appearance during his final rehearsals and that Sankey was so worried that at one point she began crying, CNN reports.

During a June 19, 2009 rehearsal, Jackson looked "extremely thin" and "was not speaking normally" as he was being fitted for his stage clothes, Sankey testified. After Jackson left, Sankey said that she and Ortega broke into tears. Sankey was so shaken up, she pulled over on her way home and called Ortega "because I had a very strong feeling that Michael was dying. I was screaming into the phone at that point," she added. "I said he needs to be put in the hospital now."
