Mitch, Amy and Janis WinehouseMitch and Janis Winehouse, the parents of late pop singer Amy Winehouse, will receive their daughter's estate worth 2.94 million pounds ($4.66 million), the Associated Press reports.
The London singer reportedly did not leave a will, making her parents the beneficiaries of her sizable fortune.
According to probate documents, Winehouse's father is administrator of her estate. Winehouse's ex-husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, who she divorced in 2009, is not due to receive a portion of her earnings.
While Winehouse's net assets are 2.94 million pounds ($4.66 million), she left behind a total of 4.25 million pounds ($6.7 million) not including payment of taxes and debts.
The soulful singer was 27 when she died of accidental alcohol poisoning in her home on July 23.
Winehouse achieved fame in the United States after the release of her 2006 Grammy award winning album, "Back To Black," that includes her hit "Rehab." She openly discussed her struggle with drugs andRead More »from Amy Winehouse’s Parents To Receive Her Sizable Estate Worth $4.66 Million

"MDNA"Does MDNA have the RGHT STFF? The critics have weighed in on Madonna's new album, and the consensus view is that this is Her Madge-esty's most enjoyable effort since 2000's Music -- or even "her best album since Ray of Light in 1998," as one notoriously tough critic, the Chicago Tribune's Greg Kot, happily declared.
Which is not to say that Madonna, unlike music itself, is necessarily one to make the people come together. There is also plenty of snark to go around in the reviews, and while some critics question whether her full immersion in youthful dance music is appropriate for a superstar of 53, others take her to task for not being nearly as edgy or provocative as she used to be. In other words, she is either acting too immature or too mature, depending on which bone you prefer to pick.
Disagreement also hinges on whether MDNA is an autobiographically revealing work that could be described as "our lady's divorce album," as Rolling Stone's Joe Levy did, or whether it's really moreRead More »from Madonna’s ‘MDNA’ Has Critics Pondering: Is It a Dance or Divorce Album?

Back in 2003, Madonna's liplock at the MTV Music Awards with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera made international headlines and became perhaps the most iconic VMA moment of all time. So this past December, when word got out that Madonna had gotten smoochy with her latest same-sex duet partner, Nicki Minaj, another media firestorm unsurprisingly ensued.
Nicki and Madonna celebrate
It all started with a (heavily RT'd) tweet from Nicki herself, right after the shoot for Madonna and Nicki's video with M.I.A., "Gimme All Your Luvin'." Nikki tweeted: "OH MY f'ingggg Gahhhh!!!!! MADONNA jus kissed me!!!!! On the lips!!!!!!! It felt sooooo good. Soooo soft!!!! *passes out* aaahhhhh!!!!!!!!!" Madonna later dished about the incident to Anderson Cooper, explaining, "It was her birthday and it was actually the end of one of those long days of shooting, and we were all giving a birthday toast to her. After a few sips of champagne, I kissed her!"
Footage of the Madonna/Minaj kiss didn't make the cut of the official "Gimme All Your Luvin'" video, much to fans' chagrin...but now, just in time to celebrate the release of Madonna's 12th studio album, MDNA, the never-before-seen clip of Nicki's birthday celebration with Madge has been made available exclusively to Yahoo! Music.Read More »from Exclusive Clip of Mythical Madonna/Minaj Kiss Surfaces Online

For some folks, 65 is retirement age. For Elton John, who reaches that mark on Sunday, it's the age at which you book a summer tour of Europe in addition to your lucrative Las Vegas residency… release a T Bone Burnett-produced comeback CD… prepare a sequel to your last hit animated musical, Gnomeo & Juliet… watch the grosses come in for your touring stage musical, Billy Elliot… dress up as a monarch and shill for Pepsi in inescapable TV spots…
And, oh yeah, the age at which you stop and smell the nappies.
"I love the smell of nappies and diapers," John said at a press event last year, helpfully using both the British and American terms for the fragrant delights. Perhaps he'd taken leave of his olfactory senses, but most likely the long-recovered alcoholic has found his true late-in-life fix getting high on fatherhood.
Elton John, David Furnish, and Zacahary at a 2012 Oscars partyAs Elton turns 65, his son, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, has yet to pass the year-and-a-half-old mark. People magazine is reporting that Whitney Houston's official cause of death was accidental drowning, and that she had cocaine in her system at the time of her death. A source has confirmed to People that contributing factors in her death included heart disease and cocaine use, according to an investigation.
Houston died of accidental drowning due to the effects of cocaine use and heart disease, a Los Angeles County coroner's spokesman said on Thursday, according to Reuters.
Houston, 48, died February 11, the afternoon before the Grammy Awards, after she was found in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where her mentor Clive Davis was holding his annual pre-Grammy bash that evening. Houston had planned to attend the party. At the time, the L.A Coroner confirmed that prescription pill bottles were found in her hotel room, but "not in alarming amounts."

A press conference to announce KISS and Motley Crue's 40-date co-headlining North American summer tour turned into a Rihanna diss session Tuesday.
Outspoken KISS bassist Gene Simmons stressed that the bands's sets would be live, unlike Rihanna's stage show.
"We're sick and tired of girls getting up there with dancers and karaoke tapes in back of them," Simmons said, according to Billboard. "No karaoke singers allowed. No fake bullsh-t. Leave that to Rihanna-Schimianna and everybody else whose name ends with an 'A.'"Read More »from Gene Simmons And Tommy Lee Slam Rihanna For Lip-Syncing

Lady Gaga, Oprah Winfrey, Cynthia GermanottaLady Gaga's parents are her biggest supporters, the pop star and her mother Cynthia Germanotta revealed to Oprah Winfrey in an exclusive one-on-one interview that aired on Winfrey's OWN network Sunday. But there was a time when they questioned the direction of her career.
When Lady Gaga's parents attended one of her shows when she was still an unsigned artist, they were shocked by what they saw on stage.
"When she was performing at Joe's Pub downtown, she was in a bikini and performing with Lady Starlight and they started to light hairspray on fire," Cynthia explained. "Some people left.
