Beyonce Apologizes to Fans for Canceling Show as Pregnancy Rumors Fly

By Laura Ferreiro

Beyoncé has never been one to cancel shows willy-nilly, nor to keep her fans waiting (unlike some other pop stars who shall remain nameless). That's why, when she postponed a show in Antwerp, Belgium on Tuesday, she went out of her way to personally apologize to her fans. Her absence also stoked rumors that the singer may be expecting her second child with husband Jay-Z.

In a handwritten letter posted on her website and her Facebook page, Queen Bey expressed her sincere remorse at disappointing her fans in the Belgian city.

The letter said: "To my dearest fans in Antwerp I've never postponed a show in my life. It was very hard for me. I promise I will make it up very soon. I'm sorry if I disappointed you. Thank you for your concern. I'm feeling much better now and I'm ready to give you a great show."

Beyoncé was reportedly ordered by her doctor to postpone the show because of "dehydration and exhaustion." The pop star has had a rigorous touring schedule, having played 20 arena dates since the European leg of the Mrs. Carter tour kicked off in Belgrade a month ago.

According to her note, she's doing better now and intends to continue with her tour as planned, playing her second previously scheduled show in Antwerp Wednesday night.

There's been no confirmation or denial from Beyoncé's camp about whether daughter Blue Ivy can expect a little brother or sister some time soon. The pop star recently said in an interview with "Good Morning America" that she would like more children.

The European leg of Beyoncé's tour is due to conclude in London on June 1. Her next North American date is scheduled for June 28 at the Los Angeles Staples Center, and she will wrap up at the Barclays Center in her hubby's native Brooklyn on August 5.
