Beyonce, John Legend and Friends Honor Their Mothers in Moving Video That Supports Girls’ Empowerment

To mark Mother's Day this Sunday and pay tribute to moms around the world, celebrities including Beyoncé, John Legend, Ziggy Marley, Cameron Diaz, Blake Lively and Olivia Wilde released a video in which they discuss their mothers' greatest attributes.

In the video, Lively calls her mom "the greatest celebrity" she's ever met, Beyoncé praises her mother for "finding the best qualities in every human being" and Marley says his mom is a "strong woman who leads by example."

At the end of the video, the stars state their mothers' names and Diaz simply says, "My mother, my mommy."

The video is part of Gucci's Chime for Change campaign, which was cofounded by Beyoncé and Jennifer Lopez and serves to raise funds and awareness for girls' and women's empowerment around the world.

"Our goal is to call for change for girls and women in the loudest voice possible," Queen Bey said about the campaign.

The "Run the World (Girls)" singer and renowned performers including Florence and the Machine, Ellie Goulding, Iggy Azalea, John Legend, Jennifer Lopez, Rita Ora, Laura Pausini and Timbaland will headline a concert on June 1 in London to bring attention to issues of health, education and justice for girls on a global scale.

Gucci will underwrite the concert so that all ticket sales (minus taxes and service charges) will support programs that benefit girls and women, and attendees will be able to donate the value of their tickets to the non-profits of their choice.
