Beyonce Treats Entourage to $2,200 Post-Festival Chicken Feast

Beyonce must have been more than a little peckish when she reportedly purchased a massive amount of fried chicken from a popular chain in England over the weekend. The pop star had just finished her headlining set at the V Festival in Hylands Park (about an hour outside of London) on Saturday night when the order was placed at Nando's "casual dining" restaurant in Chelmsford.
The take-out order was made over the phone and included 58 wing platters, 48 whole chickens, 12 veggie burgers, 24 coleslaws and 24 rice dishes, totaling £1,444.10 (about $2,200) reports the Daily Mail. What's more, the name "Beyonce K" was on the receipt.
Not surprisingly, the restaurant staff took to Twitter to express their excitement at the star's order. Nando's employee Helen Cable tweeted, "Too excited that Beyonce is ordering a Nandos from us ?? if only she would pick it up herself!" Someone also posted a copy of the detailed receipt online.
Nando's Chelmsford manager confirmed that it was in fact a member of Beyonce's entourage who placed the order.
This apparently isn't the first time Queen Bey has feasted at Nando's. She also bought around £800 (approximately $1,250) worth of food at the chain's Dublin branch earlier this year.
Beyonce is currently in the midst of her "Mrs. Carter Show" world tour, which hits Philadelphia on August 31 before the Latin American leg kicks off in Brazil on September 8.
