Black Keys Frontman Gives Up Bob Dylan’s Hair and $5 Million in Divorce Settlement

Sometimes going through a divorce settlement can be like splitting hairs. In the case of Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach and his now ex-wife Stephanie Gonis, it wasn't so much splitting hairs, but surrendering hair... and not just any hair, but some locks that reportedly belonged to Bob Dylan.

According to TMZ, in the divorce settlement Gonis was awarded more than $5 million, one of the couple's homes and their 2012 Toyota Highlander, as well as an asset described as "Bob Dylan Hair." There's no word where or when the prized locks were obtained or even if they actually belonged to Dylan.

There's at least one connection between his Royal Bobness and the Black Keys. Auerbach and partner Patrick Carney covered Dylan's "Wicked Messenger" on the soundtrack to the bizarre 2007 tribute film I'm Not There, but there is no mention of hair in the song.
