Daft Punk’s ‘TRON’ Trailer Premieres, Internet Implodes

Everyone from sci-fi geeks to video game geeks to cinema geeks to electronica geeks have been, well, geeking out hardcore since news first leaked that Parisian popbots Daft Punk were creating the soundtrack for the upcoming TRON: Legacy movie.

And this week--the week special 20-minute previews will start running at select IMAX theaters--the Interweb collectively imploded when the Daft Punk-scored "Derezzed" TRON: Legacy trailer, featuring a cameo by the helmet-headed Daft duo themselves, thrillingly premiered online.

TRON: Legacy comes out December 17. Everyone better wear Daft Punk-style helmets to the theater, because from the looks of this trailer, moviegoers' heads just might explode upon viewing the full-length film.
