Simpson’s mom Tina, sister Ashlee, and 11-month old daughter Maxwell Drew were all on hand to join in the festivities, which took place near a pond at Hotel Bel-Air and featured a game where guests fished for party favors including blue nail polish and condoms, because “this baby was a surprise for Jessica and Eric,” as party planner Mindy Weiss pointed out.
The menu included Southern comfort food and a grilled cheese station for kids.
“I’m so excited to have a son,” Simpson told People Magazine. “He got all these cute vintage cars and I got a lot of little leather jackets I can’t wait to try out!”
The curvaceous star indulged in some fried chicken, adding that she’s been working out three times a week with trainer Harley Pasternak. “I’ve only gained half of what I gained in my first pregnancy,” she said.
Simpson’s fiancé, Eric Johnson, made an appearance later in the day, and the happy couple are reportedly planning a wedding for later in the year following the baby’s arrival.
